Celaya, located in the State of Guanajuato, has grown in importance in the recent years because it has demonstrated to have a steady economic development.
The great development of this city has taken it to become the third municipality with the highest population rate in Guanajuato.
CRAFTS
Among its main crafts we can find hides and leather from San Lorenzo, card masks, paintings made in cardboard, tinplate, white Wood and papier mâché; fireworks, and cardboard, reed, tin and white wood toys.
GASTRONOMY
A typical meal includes gorditas de tierras negras, enchiladas Celaya-style, pozole Celaya-style, pacharelas, nopalitos al pastor, and cold meat by Roque. Typical candies: milk cajeta, alfeñiques and fruit in syrup, obleas, peas, custards, jamoncillo, cocadas, and in general, those elaborated with milk.
